The Office National des Chemins de Fer (ONCF) is the main player in the railway sector.Its railway network in Morocco is the most extensive in the Maghreb and the second largest in Africa after South Africa.It consists of a main north-south axis linking Oujda in the northeast to Marrakech in the center-south, via Fez, Meknes, Kenitra, Rabat and Casablanca. Branch lines serve Tangier, Nador, Oued Zem, El Jadida and Safi. In 2018 the ONCF launches the high-speed line "AL BOURAQ" 320 km / h which connects the city of Tangier to Casablanca in 2 hours 10 minutes,This high-speed line is the first link in the Moroccan high-speed rail project aimed at providing the country by 2030 with 1,500 km4 of high-speed rail lines.
