Chakchouka - also called Taktouka - is one of the most appreciated traditional appetizers in Morocco. Sometimes served cold, it is more commonly served warm with pan fried eggs.
The chakchouka consists in finely chopped tomatoes, bell peppers, onions, garlic, parsley, paprika, olive oil and salt and pepper. Some people also add chilies, coriander or even merguez sausages.
